- Students have to strictly follow the date and registration procedures for adding /dropping courses semester as specified by the university.
- The registration of courses will be completed after the student has paid for tuition fees by the specified deadline in the academic calendar. Any student, who registers or pays tuition fees later than the specified deadline, needs to pay a penalty fine as set by the regulations of Srinakharinwirot University.
- If a student has not completed the registration for the semester within the deadline, he or she will not be allowed to study that semester unless he or she has an approval from the Dean.
- Students need to have taken previous or relevant courses beforehand in order to register for any course which specifies that as a requirement.
- Full-time students can register for courses in each semester for no less than 9 credits in each semester but no more than 22 credits. For the summer period, students can register for no more than 10 credits. Suspended status students can register for no more than 15 credits in each semester.
- A student who is expecting to graduate but who has not completed the courses required for their degree and has less credits than the required number of credits specified by the regulations in section 5, can register the remaining credits.
- Students can register audits (students do not receive credit for audited courses) after receiving written approval from the advisor and the lecturer.
- Student needs to submit a withdrawal request 2 weeks before the final examination and those requests have to be approved by the Dean. The Academic calendar is attached at the back of this manual. Students must attend at least 80% of classes in order to be eligible to take the examination except for the courses that requires self-study.
The grading system is as follows:

In the case that some courses are assessed by letter grade, the symbols adopted hold the following meanings:

Students may get ‘E’ for failing the examination, leaving the examination without an appropriate reason, attending less than 80% of classes, cheating or plagiarism and an ‘I’ revision which will take up to 4 weeks.
Students may get an ‘I’ for absence from an examination due to sickness or extreme circumstances with the approval of the Dean or in the circumstances that the student has not completed the practical section of the course.
Students may get a ‘W’ with the Dean’s approval as per section 9 in the registration, policy for a leave of absence or suspension from studies. Students may get a ‘W’ changed from an ‘I’ due to the absence from an examination due to sickness or extreme circumstances.
Examination results need to be approved by the Dean before they are reported to the Office of Education Services.
Students who receive an ‘E’ need to repeat registration in those courses or similar courses. For a similar course, students have to get approval from the Chair of the Department or Director of Studies along with the Dean’s approval. In the case that those courses are not core modules, students do not have to register again.
Students who have the intention of cheating or are guilty of plagiarism will face the following penalties:
- Fail in that course; or
- Fail in that course or be suspended for the next semester or their graduation may be suspended.
- Relinquish student status
Student Status, Withdrawal and Resignation
Students at International College for Sustainability Studies, Srinakharinwirot University are only full-time students with the major classification of:
- Standard Students are the students that have completed registration in the first semester or the student with a cumulative GPA of no less than 2.0
- Probationary Students with a cumulative GPA below 0 (1.20-1.99)
Students will be classified as mentioned above after the completion of the second semester that has been accredited since the entry registration.
Withdrawal (Temporary Leave)
Students may withdraw from a course for one of the following reasons:
- Military leave
- Scholarship: students who receive an exchange program scholarship or other scholarship approved by the university are able to request a withdrawal.
- Sick leave: students have to provide medical documentation in order to take leave for medical reasons.
- Personal necessity: student must have completed at least 1 semester of studies to request to a withdrawal.
Students must submit the withdrawal form within 4 weeks from the first day of the semester and pay fees to maintain their student status for that semester for the consideration of the Dean.
Resignation
Students who wish to resign from the university have to submit a request to the faculty with the approval from the Dean.
Loss of student status
Students must relinquish their student status for any of the following reasons:
- Students that complete the course with the approval of graduation
- Students that are deselected from university
- For not registering for the first semester of admission
- For not paying fees to maintain student status after withdrawal submission
- If they have a cumulative GPA of less than 1.50
- They are probationary students who have cumulative GPA less than 1.75 for 2 consecutive semesters.
- They are probationary students for 4 consecutive semesters.
- They cannot complete at least 120 credits within 8 years for full-time registration.
- If they cheat in exam and are asked to leave the student status
- If they have committed serious misdemeanors.
- If they violate university policies and regulations that cannot be compromised
- If they are sentenced to prison for criminal offenses with the exception of minor offenses.
Graduation
Students, who have completed all the requirements in the curriculum and expect to graduate, should fill out a request for graduation form a month before the registration in the final semester. Graduate qualifications are as follows:
- Students have to complete all the requirements in the curriculum within the time limit specified.
- Students that receive an ‘S’ in audit courses
- Students that have cumulative minimum GPA of 2.00
Honor degrees
- Graduates who have completed all the requirements in the curriculum with a cumulative GPA of a minimum of 3.25 without a ‘C’ grade in any course within the time limit specified will graduate with a second class honors degree.
- Graduates who have completed all the requirements in the curriculum with a cumulative GPA of a minimum of 3.60 without a ‘C’ grade in any courses within the specified time limit will graduate with a first class honors degree.
