B.A. in Language and Intercultural Communication

SWUIC > Academic > B.A. in Language and Intercultural Communication

General Information

The ultimate goal of the Language and Intercultural Communication program is to promote global citizenship among language learners by providing students with a language learning platform that focuses on effective communication in a globally connected context. This program differs from other programs in language education in that it fosters cultural awareness and critical thinking skills that are essential for speakers of the English language in the 21st century. The program is the first Bachelor of Arts program in Thailand that aims to offer opportunities for students to explore, confront, and critically analyze cultural differences that influence communication, as well as manage cultural differences for effective communication in multicultural contexts.

Additionally, students of this program are provided with an opportunity to learn and practice professional skills in a real workplace environment through internships and cooperative education at our multicultural partner organizations. Prospective students are also offered the opportunity to study a third language, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Khmer or Vietnamese, in countries where the target language is spoken.
